In Asma ul Husna By Maulana Wahiduddin Khan the author mentioned the importance of Asma ul Husna in the light of Hadith and Quran with references to those hadith and ayaat. The Asma ul Husna By Maulana Wahiduddin Khan book also explained the total number of Asma ul Husna in the light of Hadith and other big islamic books. The author says there are 99 names of Allah and some Islamic scholars says that Asma ul Husan are 1000 in number (tafseer ibne Kaseer jald 2 page 269). The author further says that this number of Asma Ul husna is only based on vocabulary that human knows and the vocabulary of human is limited but God is infinite and so the attributes of Allah is Also unlimited in number.
