Zakat on gold:

Zakat is obligatory on 87 grams i.e. seven and a half tola of gold. How much zakat is obligatory on seven and a half tolas of gold? So whoever has seven and a half tolas of gold, he will have to pay zakat on it after the year has passed. In this case, there are two ways to pay zakat: 1- The simplest way is to find out the value of this gold in the market on the day of the year and pay two and a half percent as Zakat. 2- The 40th part (two and a half percent of the weight) of this gold should be weighed by the goldsmith and this gold should be paid in zakat. There is also the option of by paying zakat in cash, or by giving away valuable things of the same value. And if the money is not available at the moment, then you should note the amount of the money as for that time, then as soon as possible you should pay this amount in zakat little by little.

Zakat in case of possession of less than seven and a half tola of gold.  If a person has less than seven and a half tons of gold in his possession and in addition there has neither silver nor cash in excess of the amount required for basic expenses, nor does you have any merchandise, then Zakat is not obligatory on you. ۔ However, if you have six or seven tolas of gold along with some silver or some cash or merchandise in addition to the amount required for basic expenses, then the price of gold should be combined with the value of silver or cash or merchandise. The value will reach the nisab of silver (fitty two and a half tola of silver) so zakat will become obligatory.
